22 teams in 22 days XIII

North County
Arguably the most dynamic player in the Monterey Bay League dons the silver and black in three-year starter Michael Lopez.
A two-time member of The Herald's All-County team, Lopez scored touchdowns last season as a running back, receiver, defensive back, kick returner and punt returner.
In two seasons Lopez has produced 34 touchdowns. But the elusive senior cannot do it alone. Graduation gutted the Condors at the skilled positions.
On top of that, North County has a new head coach, although in name only as Ron Stefani has been with the program as an assistant for nearly two decades.
Last year North County put up record-breaking numbers in averaging nearly 50 points a game through its first six games. Don't expect that to be duplicated. But expect the Condors to contend in the MBL.
