Salinas City Track Meet

At one time, this track and field meet was a big deal in Salinas.
But with all five Salinas high schools in the same league, the curiosity of who is the best team in Salinas has disappeared.
 We know. Or if we don't, we won't find out today. The TCAL trials are five days away. So don't expect to see athletes tripling just to try and win a team title. It's not worth the risk.
 I still think this is a special meet that could have more significance if it was held earlier in the year. There was a two week hiatus between dual meets this year in the TCAL. Put it in that slot.
