No, it's not for a league title.
But a playoff spot could be at stake today when King City visits Pacific Grove at 4 p.m.
The two teams are tied for third in the Mission Trail Athletic League with Soledad with three games left in the season.
While only the top two teams earn automatic playoff spots, three teams have come out of the MTAL almost every year -- sometimes four.
The Mustangs, who shared the MTAL title last spring with Soledad, have gotten hot down the stretch with three straight wins.
Wins over Soledad and Stevenson have catapulted the Breakers back into the postseason chase.
Pacific Grove and King City split their first two games, with each winning on their home field.
