At one point, the Condors were on a record breaking pace for points, opening the season with six consecutive wins before falling to Monterey.
A cast of unknowns in Castroville were 6-0 at home, reaching the Central Coast Section Division III semifinals with a come-from-behind win over Burlingame to earn a rematch with Monterey.
The Condors were a lightening rode on offense, striking quickly. The defense held four opponents to a touchdown or less.
All that stood in the way of perfection for North County was Monterey.
Grade: A minus.
