Football jamboree

As expected, little was shown at the Salinas Jamboree. It was more of a chance for Salinas, North Salinas, Alisal and Alvarez to finally hit a different colored jersey.
But it's easy to understand why all four coaches left with optimism. There is some young talent on the horizon and a few returning faces that will make impacts this year.
I can't say there were any surprises, because all four teams went vanilla with their offenses. But I do believe Alvarez will notch its first ever Tri-County Athletic League win this year.
