Abbott heading east

Gina Abbott won't be too far from her twin sister after all.
The recent North Salinas graduate is taking her volleyball talents to the University of Maryland Eastern Shores this fall.
Abbott's twin sister, Bina, will play softball in the spring at Towson State, just outside Baltimore.
Gina Abbott averaged over 14 kills a match last fall as an outside hitter for North Salinas. She will join a program that posted a 25-9 record last season, finishing second in the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference.
