The piece and tranquility of golf can bore the life out of me. So when a crowd gets a little ampt up or rowdy, it's refreshing.
When a gallery begins to throw profanities around, that's a different story.
What occurred at the recently concluded U.S. Open in New York was embarrassing. Just because it's a public golf course does not make it alright to swear and be obnoxious.
It's not what New Yorkers do.
The comments that were reportedly blurted out towards numerous players can't be tolerated at next years U.S. Open at Pebble Beach. It shouldn't be acceptable at any sports venue.
