Donald Fehr is reportedly on his way out as Major League Baseball's Player Union Chief Executive Director after 25 years.
It's about time.
When you think of steroids and the dark cloud it has cast on baseball, Fehr and commissioner Bud Selig come to mind as two powerful men that swept it under the rug.
At least Selig is trying to clean up the mess. Fehr fought drug testing. No doubt, he created the most powerful union in all of professional sports. But his legacy will be tarnished for alleged knowledge of the steroid problems that plagued baseball.
Good riddance.
