Michael Armstead has chalked up two Pioneer Football League Special Teams Player of the Week honors this fall for the University of San Diego football team.
Armstead earned his second honor after returning a kickoff 93 yards for a touchdown two weeks ago against UC Davis.
The former Monterey High and MPC receiver leads the PFL in kick return yards with 335 yards, with over 150 in each of the teams first two games.
Armstead is fourth in the Football Championship Subdivision in kickoff return average at 33.5, and third in all-purpose yards at 202.5.
In just 14 career games, Armstead has vaulted himself to seventh all-time in kickoff return yards at San Diego with 1,175. Last year he was the PFL's Special Teams Player of the Year.
