The sequel.
As difficult as it was letting a 13-point lead slip away in the teams' first meeting, it didn't demoralize the Vikings, who have rattled off five straight wins since the loss on Jan. 15
At the same time, Seaside has continued to extend its school record league winning streak to 29 games heading into tonight's rematch at North Salinas.
The only team to have beaten the Vikings in the Gabilan Division over the last two years has been Seaside, who is chasing perfection for the second straight year.
However, this will be a different looking North Salinas team with the return of sophomore Nathalie Morales, who is coming off a 23 point effort on Tuesday.
Morales' presence has created more opportunities for teammates Natalie Acuna and Destiney Urzua, both of which are averaging over 10 points a game since her return.
It's not a fluke that the Spartans are 6-0 in league and 18-2 overall. Jordan Olivares and Daja Scott-Mitchell have been double-double machines all season.
Olivares, who will play next season at Sacramento State, is averaging over 18 points a game and is creating havoc on defense, while Scott-Mitchell is coming off a 26-point, 14 rebound effort.
Yet, what makes Seaside lethal is when contributions come from an arsenal of players, including Khrystiana Lynch, Aleah Jakubowsky and Sarai Wheeler.
