Watsonville-Soledad boys soccer

A wet soggy grass field will likely slow the game down. But it will not alter the expected adrenaline rush of two of the top teams in the Central Coast Section meeting tonight in Soledad.
The Aztecs jump to the Gabilan Division this season has seen them win their first two league games, while posting an 8-0-2 overall record.
Owners of 33 league titles over the last four decades, Watsonville's (6-1-1) only setback this season was a non-league decision to Bellarmine.
Behind snipers Alexis Ortiz and Ruben Esqueda's combined 19 goals, Soledad has scored 27 goals this year, while the defense has shut out its last four opponents.
Watsonville has allowed just four goals all season, two coming in a tournament in Hawaii. Jeal Leal has seven goals and five assists this winter while Daniel Medina has five shutouts in goal.
The two teams have only met on two other occasions with Watsonville posting 3-0 decisions in both games, the last coming in 2012.
