Seaside-Monte Vista girls hoops

The hottest team going into league play isn't Seaside, rather Monte Vista, who has rattled off seven straight wins.
The two Gabilan Division rivals will get reacquainted tonight when the reigning league champion Spartans visit Monte Vista in both teams league opener.
The Mustangs, who shared the Gabilan Division crown in 2016, are 11-2 this season while Seaside is 12-2, with losses to powers St. Francis of Mountain View and Palos Verdes.
Last year the Spartans swept the season series, but both were battles, holding on for a 44-39 win at Monte Vista.
Sacramento State bound Jordan Olivares put together a quadruple double in her last game. Daja Scott Mitchell and Krystiana Lynch are coming off double-doubles.
Seaside has to be aware of 6-foot post Aleah Rafat and junior Madison Hill, one of three players that is averaging over eight points a game.
The Spartans will go into the game having rattled off 23 straight league wins.
