Santa Catalina soccer

Since opening the season with three straight losses, the Cougars have caught fire with five straight wins to put them in the mix in the Santa Lucia Division.
During its run, Santa Catalina has outscored opponents 33-1 with four shutouts. Sniper Niamh Burke has carried the offense with 12 goals.
Yet, in Tuesday's 4-0 win over Trinity, it was Emma Bucholtz contributing two goals, while Carson Vogel and Angie Leissner scored their first goals.
That bolds well going into Thursday's rematch with undefeated Stevenson. While the offense is built around Burke, six different players have produced goals during the streak.
During the teams first meeting, Stevenson held on for a 2-1 decision. It's the last time Santa Catalina has tasted defeat.
Goalie Emily Radner has been sensational between the pipes when called upon for the Cougars. And the defense has tightened up and swarms to the ball.
