North Salinas girls hoops

 Welcome back Nathalie Morales.
Absent for most of the season because of an ailment, North Salinas missed their sophomore shooting guard.
A return to health for Morales has changed the Vikings look offensively.
In just her second game back Tuesday, Morales dropped in 30 points in a win over San Benito, who came into the game undefeated in the Gabilan Division.
Perhaps Morales is making up for lost time after her career high night.
Her return has given North Salinas an emotional lift. The 20 point win over the Balers was easily the best game the team has played all season.
With Morales knocking down shots, teams can not put their full attention on senior Destiney Urzua, who leads the team in scoring and is a defensive wizard.
All of a sudden Neveah Black is getting better looks. The overall depth improves with contributions coming from Leslie Jauregui, Natalie Acuna and freshman Leanna Bayhonan.
Of course, all three wins in league have come at home. North Salinas will spend the next two games on the road before an anticipated rematch with Seaside looms.
Yet, it is clear that North Salinas has become a dangerous team going into the second half of league play.
