Yet, for as solid of a start as it has been for Prep Nations top ranked team, the real statement came on Tuesday when Alisal shutout perennial power Salinas 4-0.
The victory snapped a six-game skid to Salinas, who has won three of the last four Gabilan Division titles.
Piggybacking off of last year's unbeaten Pacific Division season, the Trojans stretched their league unbeaten streak to 13.
Tinajera, a multi-sport standout for the Trojans, has scored 11 goals this season while Alcantar has eight goals and five assists. Jacky Medel has produced 10 assists.
Minus Alisal's one non-league setback to Live Oak, and it has allowed just four goals in six wins, shutting out three opponents.
This has been an unselfish group as six different players have assisted on goals this year.
While the win was a confidence builder, a bigger test awaits Thursday when Alisal visits undefeated North County.
