York boys soccer

The programs first ever 3-0 start is quite a contrast to the last two seasons in which the Falcons were winless in their first four games.
 So why the sudden turnaround?
Well, nearly the entire roster from last year's squad is back, including their five leading scorers from last season.
Yet, it's been how explosive York has started that gets your attention, having outscored its first three opponents 16-4. Last year it produced 30 goals all season.
Four players have multiple goals, including Max Burke, who scored four in the season opener for the Falcons, who visit Pacific Grove tonight.
No one has been more dynamic than freshman sniper Jason Klan, who has scored in all three games for York, as well as producing six assists.
Somewhat overshadowed by the offensive firepower is the Falcons defense, which came up big last Friday behind goalie Kevin Daliri, who was credited with a shutout in a 2-0 win.
