The former Herald Volleyball Player of the Year saw action as a true freshman this past fall for the nationally ranked Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo volleyball team.
An outside hitter at Salinas High, the 5-foot-9 Rose was moved to defensive specialist, where she got into 58 sets for the Mustangs, producing 31 digs.
Rose also had 11 service aces, six assists and a kill. The Big West champions finished the year 25-3, falling in the NCAA tournament to San Diego.
Rose compiled 475 kills and 480 digs during her senior year at Salinas, finishing with 830 career kills.
