Michael Armstead

 Michael Armstead was named the Pioneer Football League's Special Teams Player of the Year for the University of San Diego football team.
 The junior receiver showed off his sprinters speed on kickoffs this past fall, returning 26 kicks for 840 yards, averaging 32.3 yards a return.
 Armstead had kickoff returns of 100 and 96 yards for touchdowns for the Toreros, who won their conference title with an undefeated league record.
 The former Monterey High standout lead San Diego in average yards per catch at 23.1. He finished with 24 catches for 553 yards and three touchdowns.
 Armstead was an all-conference selection at MPC last fall, compiling over 100 catches for nearly 2,000 yards in his two seasons.
