Emilio Martinez

As dynamic as Emilio Martinez has been as a tailback in two collegiate seasons for the University of San Diego football team, his pass catching abilities put him in the spotlight this past fall.
The former Palma prodigy caught 47 passes out of the backfield for 448 yards and four touchdowns for the conference champion Toreros.
Despite missing most of two games because of an injury, Martinez still rushed for a team high 710 yards and nine touchdowns for San Diego.
In two seasons at San Diego, Martinez has rushed for 1,743 yards and 19 touchdowns. He has 67 catches for 610 yards and four touchdowns.
Counting kickoff returns, Martinez has compiled 2,958 all-purpose yards in 23 career games for San Diego.
Martinez rushed for a school and county record 2,482 yards and 39 touchdowns as a senior at Palma, and was a sprint champion in track.
