The Panthers could find themselves sharing a conference title or potentially out of the bowl picture all together after Saturday's game.
Hartnell's first order of business is containing Reedley quarterback Randall Johnson, who has thrown for 2,275 yards and 25 touchdowns, while rushing with 588 yards and 11 touchdowns.
Johnson is completing 66 percent of his passes, spreading the ball around, as four different receivers have 20 or more catches.
Reedley's defense has forced 21 turnovers this year. It held MPC to 14 points last week, a team that put up 61 on the Panthers two weeks ago in sending them to their only loss.
Isaiah Ariolla-Randalle continues to lead the state in passing average for the Panthers, throwing for 3,409 yards and 31 touchdowns.
Jeff Weimer has caught 61 passes for a team high 11 touchdowns for Hartnell while Daunte Moore has over 1,000 receiving yards.
An improved ground game has seen the Panthers rush for nearly 1,200 yards, with Seaside High grad Keishawn Robinson chalking up 514 yards.
Alexis Ramos and Chauncey Jackson are among the state leaders in sacks as Ramos has 11.5 and Johnson 10.5. Hartnell hopes to have speed rusher DeMarcus Hawkins back from a shoulder injury.
The Panthers defense has forced 24 turnovers this year, with Drew Schuler having recovered three fumbles and Trey Smith a team leading four interceptions.
The two teams played a nailbitter last year with Hartnell posting a 21-20 win. Dating back to 2015, the Panthers are 18-2 at Rabobank.
