Nikki DeSerpa is closing in on 1,000 career kills for her career for the Marist College volleyball team.

The junior outside hitter will go into her final four regular season matches needing 26 kills to get to 1,000.

DeSerpa, who prepped at Notre Dame, leads the Red Foxes in kills this year with 309, averaging a career high 3.36 kills a set.

She is also second on the team in digs with 247, has tied her career high for service aces with 28, and has 25 blocks.

DeSerpa lead Notre Dame to a pair of Central Coast Section Division V titles and was The Herald's Volleyball Player of the Year in 2015.

Marist teammate and former Santa Catalina setter McKinley Fox continues to see more time on the floor.

The freshman has compiled 80 assists and 50 digs this year for Marist. Last year she was The Herald's Volleyball Player of the Year.
