Los Medanos-Hartnell football

Saturday's game
Los Medanos (3-5) at Hartnell (7-1) at Rabobank, 6 p.m.
While it's a non-conference game, it's one the Panthers need in terms of not letting their confidence get shaken after seeing their seven game winning streak snapped last week.
Separated shoulders in the first quarter left both of Hartnell's pass rushers, including state sack leader Alexis Ramos, playing with one arm in a 61-33 loss to rival MPC.
That's not going to heel in a week. Los Medanos is a pass first offense, as two different quarterbacks have thrown for over 1,700 yards this fall.
The Mustangs are struggling offensively, averaging 19.3 points a game. Part of their struggles stem from 25 turnovers -- including 18 interceptions.
Over the last two weeks Los Medanos has given up 98 points in a pair of losses. It is 2-1 this year against teams from the American Golden Conference.
Isaiah Arioll-Randalle is going shatter Hartnell passing records, as he is nine yards away from 3,000 passing yards, while having tossed 25 touchdowns.
Duante Moore has over 1,000 receiving yards on 44 catches for the Panthers, while Salinas grad Jeff Weimer leads the team with 54 catches and nine touchdowns.
Keishawn Robinson went over 100 yards rushing last week, raising his season average to 5.1 yards a carry for Hartnell. Covossay Windham has continued to receive more playing time.
Hartnell's ball-hawking defense could feast on Los Medanos if it has a pass rush. Chauncey Johnson has quietly produced 9.5 sacks. Trey Smith and Jakari Jenkins each have three picks.
