CCS Division I semifinals
Gunn (25-11) vs. Salinas (28-5) at Los Gatos High, 5:30 p.m.
The top seeded Cowboys were resilient and poised in recovering from a two-set deficit Tuesday to knock off Los Gatos in five sets.
It certainly helped having setter Jennifer Foley back in the lineup after missing three weeks with a concussion. The senior didn't skip a beat upon entering the match, compiling 51 assists.
Foley took turns feeding the ball to Savanna Maker and Christina Chagnon, both of which had career nights, combining for 36 kills.
Gunn, who shared the Santa Clara Valley El Camino division title with Cupertino, beat their rivals in four sets in Tuesday's semifinals.
Just two seniors are on the roster for the No. 4 seeded Titans, including Monica Crichton, one three players at the net with over 100 kills this season.
Defensively, Kaila Uota and Julie Foley have been the table setters in the back row for the Cowboys, combining for over 1,000 digs this year for the Gabilan Division champions.
