Friday's game
Gonzales (9-0) at Harbor (0-9), 7 p.m.
Talk about two teams going in complete opposite directions.
Dating back to last year, Harbor has dropped 17 straight games and is 1-36 over the last four years.
A glorified scrimmage doesn't benefit the Spartans going into the postseason for the first time in 15 years. Individual accolades will be at stake.
Payton Flores needs 171 yards to get to 2,000 rushing yards in 10 games for Gonzales. The fact that there will be another game may limit his touches.
A Gonzales win gives the program its first 10-0 season on record in the 90 plus years the school has had a football program.
Harbor has scored just 64 points all season -- 25 coming in its season opener. The Spartans scored 62 points against Greenfield two weeks ago.
Raul Morales has thrown for over 1,000 yards and 13 touchdowns, while rushing for six. Flores has produced 25 touchdowns this season.
Jared Kruse has been a bright spot for Harbor with nearly 500 rushing yards and five touchdowns. He has also thrown for 300 yards and two touchdowns, accounting for seven of the teams nine scores.
