Harbor-Greenfield football

Friday's game
Harbor (0-3) at Greenfield (0-4), 7:30 p.m.
The beauty of league play is both teams get a fresh start after horrific preseasons. None of it matters with the start of Santa Lucia Division play.
What has to get ironed out are two struggling offenses. The Bruins went 11 straight quarters to open the season before scoring their first touchdown while Harbor has managed just 39 points.
Greenfield can build off the fact that it actually lead in a game for the first time last week on a Jaime Soto touchdown, before allowing 23 unanswered points in a loss to North County.
All eyes for the Bruins defense should be on Harbor quarterback Jared Kruse, who has accounted for all five touchdowns -- three on the ground to go along with over 200 rushing yards.
Soto has been a bright spot for the Bruins with 308 rushing yards, while quarterback Daniel Morales has thrown for 315 yards, with Andres Espinosa having caught 11 passes for 148 yards.
While the Pirates defense has given up 40 or more points in two games this fall, they have forced six turnovers. Mistakes have been an Achilles heel for Greenfield, who has nine turnovers.
Harbor is looking to snap a 12 game losing streak. Dating back to 2015, it has dropped 32 of its last 33 games.
