Evan Smith

Salinas High graduate Evan Smith has gone from an undrafted rookie to a 10 year veteran with a Super Bowl ring.

When training camps start next month, the 6-foot-2, 305-pound Smith will begin his fifth season in Tampa Bay, where he’ll serve as a backup at center and guard.

Smith spent his first five seasons in Green Bay, going from the practice squad to a starting center and a Super Bowl champion, snapping the ball to Aaron Rodgers.

Having played all five offensive line positions while at Idaho State, Smith has become the second longest tenured NFL player from Salinas, behind only North Salinas graduate Kassim Osgood’s 12 seasons.
