Los Altos-Alisal baseball

Central Coast Section Division I Playoffs
Wednesday's game
No. 11 Los Altos (14-14) at No. 6 Alisal (17-7), 4 p.m.
Despite the loss of its coach and arguably its three best players to graduation, expectations were not softened this spring at Alisal, who won its second straight Pacific Division title.
Playing at home is big for the Trojans, who are 9-2 on the season. The goal from day one was to get one step further than last year's Division I semifinal appearance.
Los Altos struggled in the De Anza Division this spring, going just 5-9. However, outside league, it was 11-4. Alex Reelfs hit .356 and has the teams only homer this year.
Reelfs was also 6-6 on the season for the Eagles with a 2.36 earned run average, striking out 62 in 66 innings of work.
Pitching has also been the strength of Alisal, having held its last three opponents to one earned run. Danny Villegas and Sal Lopez have taken turns shutting down opponents.
Both have produced timely hits all season for the Trojans, along with Eduardo Garcia, Kai Tovas and Josiah Ramos.
