Harker-Carmel volleyball

Northern California Division II Semifinal
Friday's match
No. 3 Harker  (24-6) at No. 2 Carmel (31-3), 6 p.m.
Originally slated for Thursday, the match was moved to Friday to accommodate Harker, who has three seniors graduating that day.
It does create a dilemma for the winner, as the Northern California title match will be the following day.
This is a rematch of the Central Coast Section Division III finals 13 days ago, in which the Padres rallied from a two-set deficit to prevail in five sets for the programs first section title.
Owners of a school record 24 straight wins, Carmel opened the tournament with a four-set win over North Coast Section runner-up Northgate, while the Eagles swept St. Patrick-St. Vincent.
The extra day could benefit the Padres Aidan Westerman, who turned his ankle in Tuesday's win, yet returned to record eight kills in the final two sets.
Keegan Forrester, Cole Dickman and Ben Ariola have been pounding the ball all spring off of sets from Charlie DeLapa.
Runner ups in the Santa Clara Valley Athletic League's De Anza Division, Harker is 14-3 in its last 17 matches, with two of those setbacks being five sets.
