Jacob Tonascia, Kyle Czaplak and Colton Fletcher were named to the Rawlings/ABCA All West Region first team for the Otters baseball team, while teammates Hayden Duer and TJ Dove were second team selections.
Tonascia, who prepped at San Benito, broke the single season home run record for CSUMB, along with Duer, as both hit 18. Tonascia also drove in a school record 65 runs while Duer knocked in 60.
Czaplak led the Otters in hitting at .382. The Pacific Grove graduate also hit six homers and was a vacuum at shortstop. Fletcher led CSUMB with a 10-1 record, posting a 3.10 earned run average.
Dove set a school record with a 22 game hitting streak, and reached base a school record 48 straight games. The CCAA champion Otters tied the single season school record for wins with 38.
