King City-Soledad baseball

While this is arguably one of the better rivalry games in the sport, the Aztecs have owned King City of late, having won 14 of the last 16 -- including 12 straight before the skid was snapped last year.
Soledad has won the last 12 meetings at home, gathered a share of the Mission Trail Athletic League title with the Mustangs in 2010 when it beat them in the final game of the regular season.
The Aztecs have a pair of all-leaguers back in Aaron Rodriguez and Isaac Lopez, both of which were among the league leaders in hits last season.
The core of King City's team is back from last year's second place finish, including all-leaguer Clay Barbree, as well as Jose Arreola, while freshman Adam Cortez has made an early splash.
The Mustangs pitching staff has allowed just two earned runs in the teams three non-league games. Lopez and Chris Villarreal have swung hot bats for Soledad.
