Former Stevenson golf standout Armand Melendez finished third overall at the Bay Area Invitational, leading Sonoma State to a men’s golf team title in Livermore.
Melendez, a two-time state meet qualifier at Stevenson, finished five-under par on his final round to place third overall, just two strokes off medalist honors for the tournament.
His score of 67 in the final round was the lowest score of the day and lowest compiled by a Sonoma State golfer this year.
