The former Soledad High and Hartnell College standout is in the finals in the mile at the Chicagoland Area Collegiate Conference Indoor Championships (NAIA) after running 4:19.67.
Running for the University of St. Francis, Illinois, Martinez is running today in the Distance Medley Relay, which came into the meet ranked fourth in the nation in NAIA.
