Hartnell-Reedley football

Saturday's game
Hartnell (7-1) at Reedley (4-4), 7 p.m.
Four teams are separated by one game in the American Golden Coast Conference and the Panthers are one of them at 3-1.
Reedley is coming off arguably its biggest win of the season in stunning Merced 45-40, a team that knocked Hartnell from the unbeaten ranks four weeks ago.
The Panthers haven't lost since and are 13-1 in their last 14 games dating back to last year. Hartnell is ranked No.6 in the state in scoring at 44.2 points game.
Last week it was defense that set the tone as the Panthers held Gavilan to seven points, sacking the quarterback 14 times.
Robert Mosley and Chuntony Johnson combined for 6 1/2 sacks while all-conference defensive back Nias Martin recorded his seventh interception of the season.
Reedley quarterback Joshua Allen threw for over 400 yards and seven touchdowns in last weeks win over Merced. Rafael Araujo-Lopes caught 12 passes -- five for touchdowns.
The Panthers have turned to the ground game in their last two games to control the tempo as Sherrod Hawkes has piled up 359 yards and five touchdowns in his last two games.
Hartnell will have freshman receiver Ronnie Turner back. Turner, who didn't play last week, had 18 catches for nearly 400 yards and five touchdowns in his previous two games.
