I see nothing but athleticism up and down the Spartans bench.
And that was exhibited last Friday when Seaside ended San Benito's 10-game winning streak with a 75-59 win.
So will the real Seaside team please come to the forefront?
Because 48 hours earlier I saw one of the worst efforts of the year by any team in Seaside's 40-point loss to Palma.
Seaside played like an inspired team in sending the Balers to their first league loss. It played like a team that understood the consequences of another league loss.
So did the Palma game serve as a wakeup call?
I would hope so.
If anything, Seaside's pride had to be wounded.
Winning has a way of making wounds heel quickly. What ever was preached, bottle it. This can be a hard team to slow down when it's hustling and playing as one.
