CSUMB men's hoops XX

The Otters made a statement in the preseason by beating Division I San Jose State by 11 points back on Nov. 4.
Now can they turn the corner in the California Collegiate Athletic Association and make a playoff run?
Returning home tonight to jump start the conference season, the Otters are led by 6-foot-4 junior Ryan Nitz, who is averaging just over 20 points a game.
The return of super soph Alex Fertig gives the Otters two dynamic scoring threats from beyond the 3-point arc.
What you have after that is a combination of players needing to step up each night and contribute. Six players are averaging six or more points a game this winter for the Otters.
Among those is 6-foot-8 junior Jorey Scott, who is providing significant minutes off the bench in the paint, pulling down nearly five rebounds a game.
