Greenfield hoops VI

The Bruins hadn't tasted a lot of success in their first 13 years -- until last winter when they set a new school record for wins (13) in finishing second in the Mission Trail Athletic League.
Sharpshooter Rudy Amezcua is back in the fold for Greenfield along with Noah Huerta. Last year the pair combined for just under 32 points a game.
Amezcua's scoring average of 17.85 last year is the highest single season total since his brother Tony -- now the Bruins head coach -- dropped in 17.43 points in 2004.
Greenfield won't sneak up on league opponents this fall. While it will look to out-run teams, it has to play better defense if it wants that elusive first league title.
