The biggest meet in their cross country lives for 28 county runners is 48 hours away.
Getting in that last workout prior to leaving for Fresno on Saturday often takes place on Thanksgiving morning.
Chasing personal bests in their respective divisions includes Monterey's James Welsh and King City's Edgar Bonilla.
Welsh won the Central Coast Section Division III title two weeks ago while Bonilla finished second in the Division IV finals. Joining Bonilla will be teammate Eduardo Orozco.
In addition, Seaside's significant seven of Zechariah Snel, Jose Gonzalez, Parker Smith, Javan Flinn, Arturo Miguel-Perez, Pablo Morales and Alexis Diaz are chasing their second top 10 team finish in Division IV.
Five of the seven have experience on the Woodward Park course in Fresno, which is typically flatter than the courses in the CCS.
Competing in the Division III boys finals is North County's team of Humberto Barraza, Owen Ibarra, Oscar Mora, Freddy Torres, William Samples, Jeremy Samples and Luis Camacho.
York School's Brendan Martin and Ryan Ixtlahuac will run in Division V along with Anzar's Diego Avila.
Greenfield girls team is headed to the state Div. IV finals for the second straight year behind Jocelyn Sosa, Nancy Rivera, Evelin Meza, Alondra Jaime, Tanya Campos, Odalys Barajas and Dallana Pantoja.
Pacific Grove freshman Christina Hashimoto also qualified in Division IV.
