San Benito-Palma football

Friday's game
San Benito (5-4) vs. Palma (6-3) at Rabobank Stadium, 7:30 p.m.
The defending Central Coast Section Division I champion Balers tend to play some of their best football when November rolls around.
This year is no exception as San Benito is 2-0 in November. Dating back to last year, it is 6-1, with its only loss coming from Palma.
The Gabilan Division champion Chieftains have gone 11-0 since the Gabilan Division was formed. Palma is currently on a six-game winning streak while the Balers have won three straight.
Brandon Olivares needs 117 yards to break the Chieftains all-time single-season rushing record, held by Jack Myers. He's also on pace for over 300 carries.
Yet, if you watch Olivares, he seems to get stronger as the game wears on.
San Benito quarterback David Stanton has rushed for over 500 yards and thrown for over 500 yards, leading the team with 12 touchdowns. The Balers defense produced their first shutout last week.
