Monterey football

 When Monterey talks about adversity, it means youth.
 Four offensive linemen were underclassmen, yet Monterey had two running backs chase 1,000 yard seasons.
 The quarterback is a sophomore. The tailback is a sophomore.
 The defense was rebuilt behind two returning defensive backs.
 The Toreadores lost four games this season. Two of the teams are going to the Central Coast Section Division IV finals.
 Another was 11-0.
 The ceiling is high for the Toreadores. So when Monterey coach Tom Newton says we will get better, don't doubt him.
