 One of four unbeaten teams left in the CCS, the top seeded Eagles have Edric Gamble and Ceasar Ramirez both closing in on 1,000 yard rushing seasons.
 The pair have combined for 28 rushing touchdowns. Gamble has also tossed eight touchdown passes, four to Aaron Borum.
 The Matadors won the El Camino Division title, closing the season with six straight wins. Alvarez has five come-from-behind wins this fall.
 Containing Justin Cena is critical for the Eagles. The Monta Vista tailback has rushed for 1,487 yards and 17 touchdowns this fall.
 The Matadors have struggled in throwing the ball this fall. In 40 attempts, eight passes have been intercepted.
 Monta Vista has allowed 66 points during its six-game winning streak. The Eagles have held five opponents to 14 points or less.
