Carmel and Pacific Grove will be the favorites in their first round Division IV postseason games to advance, meaning the two MTAL powers would meet in the semifinals for a spot in the title game.
Meanwhile Seaside and Monterey could meet again in two weeks if both can pull off upsets in the first round of the Division IV playoffs.
The Spartans are a dangerous team when they're playing on all cylinders. A common opponent for Seaside and Sacred Heart Prep is Salinas, which both teams beat.
