Seaside-HMB boys hoops

Division IV semifinals
Seaside vs. Half Moon Bay, 5:30 p.m. at Menlo School

Three of the Cougars (21-6) six losses this year came from Peninsula Athletic League North Division champion El Camino.
Half Moon Bay has relied on juniors Corey Cilia and Rico Nuno to carry much of the scoring load as the pair are averaging a combined 23 points a game.
The Pirates do have size in the paint with 6-foot-10 Owen Putz and 6-6 sophomore Case DuFrance. Both, though, are more defensive minded then scoring threats.
Top seeded Seaside has played just one game in the last 11 days. But it was a dominating 32-point win over Kings Academy last Saturday.
Ronnie Turner looks a little more comfortable in the Spartans offense while Kyle Hieb and Joseph Jakubowsky have been a mark of consistency all season.
Seaside has not played a game decided by 17 or more points since Feb. 6.
