Palma-Menlo boys hoops

Division IV semifinals
Palma at Menlo, 7:30 p.m.

The Knights come in riding a 14-game winning streak, having avenged their last loss with a win over Harker last Saturday in the Division IV quarterfinals.
Even though Palma is the home team because of its No. 2 seed, the game is at Menlo because it was chosen as a host site by the CCS before the playoffs.
Three players are averaging double digits in the scoring column for the West Bay Athletic League champion Knights, including junior guard Bobby Rush (13.1).
Menlo is a squad with just two seniors on its roster as 6-foot-4 Ryan Young and 6-3 Jack Heneghan are both averaging over 12 points a game.
It's no secret where the ball is going for Palma (19-6) with 6-6 UCLA bound Noah Allen getting closer to full strength after missing six weeks with a fractured right wrist.
Allen is averaging 24 points a game since his return. Yet, when Allen was held to just one basket in last Saturday's 19 point win over Gunderson, Jacob Taylor and Jacob Regester stepped up.
Palma beat Menlo 55-46 in the Division IV quarterfinals in 2011. It has not won a CCS title since Indiana Pacers rookie guard Orlando Johnson was carrying the torch in 2007.
