The Santa Clara University senior right fielder is one of four players to start all 17 games for the 13-4 Broncos, hitting .426.
Herbst, a Monterey High graduate, leads the Broncos in hits (29), runs scored (20), triples (4) and total bases (42), all among the West Coast Conference leaders as well.
The left-handed swinging Herbst is second on the team in runs batted in with 14. Herbst also sports a .953 fielding percentage.
