No. 10 North Salinas: The Vikings have dropped two games they could have won.
No. 9 Gilroy: Giving up 80 points in its first two games is reason for concern.
No. 8 Salinas: While clearly outplayed in its first two games, Salinas did play two pretty good teams.
No. 7 Alvarez: For the first time in nine years, the Eagles are off to an 2-0 start.
No. 6. North County: This is a program that people need to pay attention too.
No. 5 Carmel: A 13-game winning streak was snapped in the final five seconds last week.
No. 4. Monterey: What a difference it makes settling on one quarterback this year.
No. 3. San Benito: It took seven games last fall before the Balers gave up the 34 points they allowed last week.
No. 2. Palma: No one is going to be able to run the ball against this defense.
No. 1. Seaside: Discipline still concerns me. Seaside had over 100 yards in penalties last week.
