Distance aces

A lot can happen in eight weeks. Some runners will emerge. Others will fade.
But distance aces Max Bell of Salinas and Samuel Hales of King City might want to start making plans for spending Thanksgiving Weekend in Fresno -- again.
Both ran impressive races at last weeks Earlybird Invitational at Toro Park, finishing among the leaders in their respective classes.
Of course, this shouldn't come as a surprise, since both went to the state cross country finals last fall in their respective divisions
Look for both to dip under 16 minutes over the 3.01 mile Toro loop by the time November roles around.

I wouldn't count James Palaniuk of York and the York Cross Country team out yet. They earned a perfect score yesterday at Wilder Ranch with James smashing the course record he set last year and the team taking the top 5 spots. The team will be returning to State again this year no doubt. Go York and go James!!

I agree. Now you just have to get your coach to turn in the results
