All-star football roster shuffling

Entertaining.
When is the last time you could say that about a high school all-star football game?
On the field, the Salinas Jaycees have turned this annual game for seniors around, getting players to buy into discipline, erasing the taunts, cheap shots and verbal exchanges.
Off the field, the Jaycees still have some work to do.
The game was a success with an estimated 2,200 people showing up. But players from a possible six schools were left out for what can be termed as a miscommunication among adults.
I've got two small suggestions. Move the game to the second week of December right after the Central Coast Section football finals.
And get the word out to all coaches and schools at least a month in advance. A list of players should be completed by the time the playoffs role around.
And having high school coaches actually coach the game makes a huge difference.
