end of a run

Yeah, we're spoiled.
For the first time in my eight years at The Herald, there won't be a football team from Monterey County playing for a CCS title.
Eight years.....
You just assume that it's going to happen.
So yeah, I'm going through withdrawal right now.
Seven years ago, three teams -- Salinas, Pacific Grove and Palma -- all played for separate CCS divisional titles.
Two years ago, Pacific Grove and Seaside played each other for a championship.
We've been blessed.
