Scholarship for Madison

Notre Dame softball slugger Ashley Madison is headed to Humboldt State on a full-ride softball scholarship. She will make it official Wednesday when she signs her letter-of-intent.
Madison, who spent time as a first baseman and designated hitter last spring for the Central Coast Section Division III champion Spirits, led the team in hits, multiple hit games, home runs and runs batted in.
Last year Humboldt State won the NCAA Division II national title.
