Apparently San Ramon Valley forgot to fill out paper work to host a possible State Northern California volleyball match.
Big mistake.
Because the No. 2 seed now has to make a two-plus hour drive to face Salinas, who is undefeated at home this year.
This is a big deal for No. 7 Salinas, who will draw a nice crowd tonight.
Yet, the past has thought us that having the home site does not ensure a win.
Four years ago Salinas was the No. 2 seed and fell at home in the semifinals. And Notre Dame had a home match 2002, and fell to a team it beat in the CCS finals.
